Prototype app to resolve a common student issue identified through the process.
Overview
Purpose & Objective: Conducta a study to find an issue within an existing app. Then ideate and create a wireframe to resolve found issue.
Approach: Conducted user study in library. The main pain points picked up were: - current phone app is lacking compared to web-app (missing functionalities); - student mails are not checked as often as needed (intergration with app?); - needs to keep up with Blackboard announcements without hassle (web-app required a log-in to Oasis > Blackboard > Unit just to check schedules/assignments)
Project duration: 1 semester
Ideation, Wireframe & Design
- Sketched wireframes, then made nicer prototype in Illustrator.
- Brought into Invision for user testing. Many issues were found (there is an endless loop somewhere…)
